Hi! I’m Susan

I’m a naturopathic doctor currently seeing patients in the west end of Toronto, and offering virtual visits anywhere in Ontario.

I believe the best health care is achieved when clinicians spend time getting to know the person in front of them. Building this connection with my patients allows me to make suggestions that are relevant and realistic.  I practice a collaborative, patient-centred approach. This means that I’m working together with my patients to discover what will work for them. I practice from an evidence based perspective and my recommendations typically include nutrition, lifestyle counselling, acupuncture, lab testing and supplements. I have a special interest in hormone and reproductive health (ie: period problems, preconception, pregnancy), stress management and digestive health.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science from Bishop's University, with a major in biology and minor in psychology, as well as receiving my naturopathic medicine degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2018. In my training to become a Naturopathic Doctor I gained further experience working on the mental health focus shift at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, as well as with the LGBTQ+ community at Sherbourne Health Center. My education provided the framework for a treating with a holistic approach - considering a patient's mind, body, spirit and emotions. I aim to foster an inclusive and nonjudgmental environment for my patients, allowing them to connect to their truest selves. I believe that when people invest in their health and wellness, they can live more rich and productive lives.  When not seeing patients, I love spending time with friends and family, traveling, listening to music and walking my dogs.

I am currently accepting new patients virtually, as well as in-person at Balanced Mind & Wellness (Bloor & Islington).
